Jane Kamabu
I am a Registered Social Worker with extensive experience in Clinical work with Families, Individuals and Community organizations.I handle my clients with deep compassion respect and empathy, believing that every individual or family that come to therapy holds a strong innate capacity for change. Without minimizing the presenting challenge, I work from a strength and empowerment perspective, guiding my clients on an exploration journey for that inner strength, those positive qualities and gifts that every individual brings to the therapy session.

My Education
I am an expert on immigration challenges, supporting my clients to identify and embrace healthy coping strategies for successive integration to the Canadian society. I have also worked extensively with Child and Family Services, becoming well versed with the Inter-generational trauma that most First Nations’ families experience due to the Residential Schools history, the Sixties’ Scoop and currently the Child and Family Services system that sometimes subject children to further trauma.
